The first is the Small Scissors with Lacquered Handles (Limited Color: Ginshu).
Unlike our standard Small Scissors in Shu-nuri, this version is finished in Ginshu.
Its elegant hue is beautifully balanced with the depth unique to lacquerware, creating a refined tone that feels especially fitting as we look ahead to spring.
The second is the Kokeshi Doll Pincushion Red.

Lustrous Yet Refined Small Scissors Ginshu
The Small Scissors are finished in a lustrous yet elegant vermilion color, Ginshu, complemented by a natural, undyed leather case and tassel.
The tassel is the same one used on our standard Small Scissors Shunuri.
Smooth-fitting and easy to use, the warm lacquer handles are as functional as they are beautiful.
The limited-edition Ginshu is presented alongside our standard Shunuri and Tamenuri finishes, allowing you to appreciate the subtle differences in tone and character when viewed together.
Ginshu
A mellow red created by adding a touch of white to vermilion. It has the lowest saturation of the three, offering a bright yet balanced hue that is subtler than classic Shunuri finish. This color has a quiet, refined presence that blends seamlessly with other handcrafting tools.
Shunuri
A high-clarity, eye-catching vermilion with stunning color payoff. As the most vibrant of the three signature colors, it has long been cherished in Japan for auspicious occasions and gift-giving. This is our classic vermilion, evoking a sense of celebration and vitality.
Tamenuri
A deep lacquer finish that appears almost black at first glance, revealing a glimpse of reddish-brown warmth in the light. Its expression changes depending on the angle and brightness.
